Del Mar SoCal Kitchen

Del Mar has to be one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is amazing and the service is always great. I was finally able to catch the happy hour and I am so glad that I did. I tried almost everything on the menu! I tried the Fried Oyster, Potato Bread, Dynamite Roll, Barbacoa Taco, Del Mar Burger. Everything was hot and fresh and good! Our waitress was phenomenal , she allowed me and my guest to look through the menu. And just made sure we enjoyed our dinner. If you are looking for a sign to go to Del Mar! Look no further , this is your sign to go !! Can’t wait to come back.

Great food, great service, but just a bit loud in the room for my tastes. The place is beautiful and the food exquisite. What can I say?...I'm older and prefer a quite atmosphere. I'll definitely be back on a Monday, or something less crazy than a Friday night. My server, Mai, was ACES! Professional, polite and there when needed. Awesome service. The food was amazing.

This place is so great, they recently changed names and I'm not sure if that means the ownership is different as well. They have a great atmosphere, interesting music choices and overall nice vibe to the restaurant.The food was good, a little bit pricey for the portions but I'm guessing that's because the rent on high street and if you're a new owner you have to keep your prices high to pay for rent. It was The only reason I'm giving it one star is because of the service. The bartender wasn't very friendly or attentive & seemed a bit annoyed with my friend and I for not ordering fast enough/being a bit undecided on what to get. We ordered and enjoyed our meal (the oysters and potato bread are delicious) but when it was time to pay we asked her to split the check right down the middle. At first I wanted to pay for my friend but she insisted so we told the bartender right down the middle please. She goes to the register and after a little brings us the bill. Instead of splitting it down the middle like we asked she itemized it based on what each ordered. Not at all what we asked her to do. I wanted to ask her to split it correctly, however didn't want her to get angry with me so we just paid and left. Overall it was a nice place, just don't go on Monday nights.

Pictures do not do this place justice. We experienced Del Mar for the first time last weekend, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The aesthetic is beautiful. It's definitely a high-end feel without too high of a price point. We got the fried oysters and brussels for our appetizer and thought both we're excellent. We chose the cripsy skate and the chicken sandwich for our entrées and they we're excellent also. The service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, sweet, knowledgeable, and personable. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience, and I'm sure we will be back!

First time having Saturday brunch here I can honestly say very delicious food I ordered the Eggs your way, not very expensive for the esthetic which is a plus! The service was nice, the waiter asked if we had allergies or any dietary restrictions, I really appreciated that. Good vibes all around and they even gave a card to leave a review!
